Scheduled - EXN will be implementing an change freeze from Friday 14/12/2018 at 17:30 until Monday 07/01/2019 at 09:00. This freeze is implemented every year during the busy Christmas trading period to ensure that no changes are made to our network or infrastructure which could affect production services.

The freeze includes all changes to the network and non-essential maintenance or infrastructure changes. EXN won't be undertaking any planned maintenance during this time, unless we are responding to a fault.

Fault management and emergency tickets will not be affected by this change.

Scheduled - We are writing to notify you of some upcoming improvements to our Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting (cPanel) services. Over the last few months, EX Hosting alongside our parent company EXN have been designing the next generation of our platform. This will use EXN’s enterprise VMware based cloud, further details of which will be announced soon. To facilitate the first phase of this project EXN would like to inform clients of an a scheduled maintenance window during the dates and times below.

During this migration all cPanel servers will be powered down and securely moved to another nearby data centre. Please note, no reconfiguration will be required by any clients and no IP addresses will be changed during this phase of the project. The physical migration will mean cPanel services will be unavailable during the following times:

Reason: Data Centre Migration

Rollback plan: Multiple contingencies have been arranged.

We expect the actual downtime to be much less than the period indicated, however we do require the full window to ensure all services are confirmed up and running after the migration. EXN will take a full backup of each server before moving it, and a full project plan has been drawn up and authorised by management to ensure there are no unforeseen issues and any risks are managed.
