Power maintenance - Volta - At Risk Jul 4, 2026 07:00-18:00 BST

Verne Global (formerly Volta Data Centres) have announced scheduled power maintenance at their London site.

One of the power feeds to some cabinets will be interrupted during the maintenance window. This includes two of the racks that contains our network equipment at Volta.

All of our network equipment has redundant power supplies connected to diverse supplies so should be unaffected by these works.

As a precaution during this maintenance period we will classify network services as "AT RISK".

Location: Volta (Verne Global London)
Start: 2026-07-04 - 07:00 BST (UTC + 1)
End: 2026-07-04 - 18:00 BST (UTC + 1)
Affected Services: Connectivity Services
Reason: Supplier Maintenance
Classification: At Risk

Some colocation customers at Volta will also be affected by these works, those customers will have received a separate notification with further details.

Resolved - Both the A+B feeds are back on DRUPS and full redundancy has been restored.
Jun 26, 07:45 BST
Update - The DC has confirmed a plan to restore redundancy. For more details, we ask clients to raise a ticket via the usual channels.
Jun 24, 14:43 BST
Update - The DC has confirmed a brief power loss occurred at approximately 20:25 following a UK Power Networks (UKPN) power quality issue that triggered the site's protection systems. The site transferred to DRUPS at 20:35 as designed; during transfer, the DRUPS switched to bypass, causing an interruption. Power has since been restored to all racks.

The site remains at risk.

If you continue to experience issues, please log a case via the support portal with details of the affected device(s) and their location, and make use of any available workarounds or DR systems in the interim. We will provide a further update as soon as more information is available.

Jun 24, 05:03 BST
Update - Power has remained stable and services have been restored. If any clients require assistance, please raise a ticket by logging into our portal. We're still waiting for any official communications from Global Switch; however, we believe this power outage affected both feeds across multiple floors.
Jun 23, 22:31 BST
Monitoring - Power has remained stable, internal services including the Client Portal are back up and functioning. Client vDC resources are now being verified.
Jun 23, 22:03 BST
Update - Power appears to have returned, we're still waiting for information from the data centre and our teams are working on bringing online various internal systems hosted out of GS2, this includes our Client Portal. Support team is available on supportteam@exn.co.uk in the interim.

Investigating - We are currently investigating a potential power issue within Global Switch 2.
