Scheduled
As part of our continued expansion and service improvements, EXN have contracted a new area in Global Switch 2 to which services are currently being migrated. During this maintenance EXN will be relocating our core fibre circuits and the associated DWDM equipment from the 10th floor to the 11th floor.

During the migration, clients with Layer 1 Wave Connect services traversing or terminating in GS2 will experience downtime of approximately 1 hour while the cross connects and DWDM equipment is relocated. These clients will receive a separate notification.

Clients with Layer 2/3 services (IP Transit & DC Connect) will be "AT RISK" as EXN will relocate one core fibre circuit at a time. During several stages of the migration, traffic will be gracefully migrated away from the network path that is being worked on. Clients may notice slightly higher latency and minor packet loss while traffic is redirected.

Location: Global Switch 2
Affected Services: Network Services
Reason: Equipment Relocation
Classification: Service Affecting (Wave Connect), At Risk (IP Transit & DC Connect)
