Following recent investigations into our dark fibre link between DRT Oliver's Yard and Verne Global (Volta), we have identified two faults contributing to high optical loss. To remediate these issues, we are scheduling an intrusive maintenance window.

This work will be carried out in coordination with our fibre provider and the onsite teams at both data centres. The objective is to restore the link to optimal performance by addressing the identified faults.

While we do not anticipate any direct impact to network services, the link will be classified as AT RISK during the maintenance window.

EXN will gracefully reroute traffic away from the affected link in advance of the work. Clients may experience slightly increased latency while traffic takes alternative paths.

A small number of Wave Connect services that terminate on or traverse this link will be directly impacted by the maintenance. Customers affected by this will receive a separate notification.
